New Hamburg

The artist follows the history of art, contemporary experiences, but does not give  her back to the socio-cultural context where she lives, with its ways of living together and its aesthetic values. She always wanted to do work that would serve as a vehicle for  the expression of the place where she lives. His art is not detached from the emotion of the public that sees his paintings. The city de  Novo Hamburgo appears all the time as a theme, with its buildings, monuments and picturesque places, such as Café Avenida, which no longer exists.  Born in Rio de Janeiro, Ariadne came to Novo Hamburgo at the age of five and her memories, her memory, are all from here.

Ariadne has an optimistic outlook on reality and what she least wants is to turn her back on the place where she is in search of one of the new academisms that institutions impose on artists, within globalization. The coherence of your work is linked to your daily life.

To be an artist is to have art as a vital necessity. Ariadne thinks that technique frees, gives the opportunity to do whatever one wants, as a way of overcoming that human beings seek in whatever they do, especially in terms of art. The knowledge that is added cannot despise the previous wisdom. Despite the advances in contemporary art, which has developed a lot in conceptual terms, it highly values the knowledge that is given in artistic techniques, marked by an intuitive knowledge, linked to the sensory and expressive experience, in the construction that is made through plastic elements.   The denial of traditional techniques that occurs today is something that worries Ariadne, because, instead of valuing the  plastic artists, she trivializes them, just placing them on a plane where only a few can understand, being dependent on an attached text.

The Hamburg public  identifies with his work and welcomes it. His painting, moreover, has a very good acceptance in other regions. In the same way that Novo Hamburgo is a place turned to the world due to the export economy, its paintings take something from the city to other parts, exerting an attraction due to the universality of the artistic language.

His look at everyday life together with the poetics of artistic work unites the care with traces and colors to the treatment of the architectural landscape and the products of human action. It is a  valuing work and carrying it out as a way of overcoming.
